Karen and Richard Carpenter
Were an American brother and sister duo who created a unique soft style of music that led them to become one of the best-selling music groups of all time, known best for their “stacked vocals,” Richard’s brilliant pop rock arrangements, and Karen’s contraalto vocals. The duo rose to the top of the charts with hits such as “Superstar,” “Top of the World,” “Sing” and their many wedding songs, “For all we Know,” “We’ve Only Just Begun,” and many more. Their album Christmas Portrait still remains on the top of the charts, including the hit “Merry Christmas, Darling.”

Karen’s tragic passing from anorexia in 1983 at the age of 32 brought an abrupt end to the duo but shined the spotlight bright on anorexia. Her personal sacrifice has saven many lives. Lynn has always loved the Carpenters and desired to tell their story for over 20 years.

Lynn Born into an Entertainment Family:

was singing harmony on stage by the age of three and went onto do musicals such as Anything Goes, Guys and Dolls and Some Like it Hot. Lynn has starred in several regional radio and tv commercials and, like Karen Carpenter has toured with her own brother for many years performing Contemporary Christian music. Now a screewriter, producer, vovalist and entertainer, Lynn has finally reached her ultimate dream.

Lynn knew it was her destiny to perform her own show in Branson, MO after visiting the busy tourist destination in the 60’s with her family. In 2015, Lynn realized that dream after writing, producing and performing the Carpenters Once More and Carpenters Christmas Once More shows in Branson — and won Tribute Show of the Year in 2016.

An Opportunity to tour her show!

When offered an opportunity to tour her show nationally on the road, she took it. Recognizing sweet- success with sold out crowds for over two years, Lynn is ready to spend more time at home, in Branson with 14-year-old son Bobby, as he attends Branson High School. Bobby is following in the family footsteps being heavily involved in music, dance, drama and his own YouTube career. Lynn also guest stars in her husband’s show, A Neil Diamond Tribute.

Along with her pianist and costars, (Wes Larsen, Mitch Keirsey and Keith Allynn) Lynn brings Karen’s unique haunting vocals to life to create Carpenters Once More and Carpenters Christmas Once More, Tuesday and Thursday at 2:00 pm at the God and Country Theaters April—December 2020.
